iTunes in a Day<\/h3>\n
iTunes is the management centre for iPhones and iPads as well as the media player for Windows and Macintosh computers. It has grown in complexity and features and changed radically in appearance. If you don’t know what iTunes has to offer or you haven’t quite got the hang of how to do things in iTunes, ‘iTunes in a Day’ is for you.<\/p>\n
We’ll cover:<\/p>\n

- using iTunes to play and manage your music collection<\/li>\n
- adding music and videos\u00a0to your iTunes\u00a0library<\/li>\n
- working with playlists<\/li>\n
- explore the breadth of media available: movies, TV shows, podcasts, Internet radio and iTunesU<\/li>\n
- searching and purchasing media from the iTunes Store ($10 iTunes card included with this course)<\/li>\n
- why you should manage your iPhone or iPad from your computer<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Photos (iPhoto) in a Day<\/h3>\n
Since its release, iPhoto has been the photo management program of choice on Macs and its design has been copied by other programs, e.g. Google’s Picasa.<\/p>\n
iPads and iPhones have used Photos since 2014 and it was released for Mac in April 2015. As expected, Photos has considerable similarities with iPhoto.<\/p>\n
‘Photos (iPhoto) in a Day’ will use those programs but much of what will be covered is applicable to many photo programs, e.g. Picasa.<\/p>\n
We’ll cover:<\/p>\n

- importing photos<\/li>\n
- organising and managing your photo collection<\/li>\n
- editing photos \u2013 from basic repairs to adjusting for impact<\/li>\n
- various ways of sharing your photos, e.g. photo books, slide shows, Facebook, email,\u00a0Photo Stream<\/li>\n
- backing up your photo collection<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Target audience<\/h3>\n
iPhoto and Photos run on iPad, iPhone and Macintosh computers so this course is especially aimed at those devices. However, the similarities between the various photo editing and management programs are such that knowledge gained in this course will be transferable to Windows and Android programs. No prior knowledge or experience of the photo programs is necessary. However, participants must be able to drive their devices, i.e. to open applications, save files, &c.<\/p>\n
